Stanley Electric U.S. is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Manager who thrives in a fast‑paced, JIT manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for leading the maintenance team and some engineering functions within a highly automated, fast‑paced assembly facility.
The ideal candidate blends strategic leadership with deep technical expertise in automation, robotics, and data‑driven maintenance methodologies to minimize downtime and optimize production quality.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
This role ensures maximum equipment availability, reliability, and safety while driving continuous improvement by:
KPI Achievement & Asset Reliability
- Downtime Management:
Own, track, and meet strict plant equipment downtime and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) targets. - Preventive & Predictive Maintenance:
Standardize, execute, and audit the PM schedule. Shift the culture from reactive to predictive maintenance using advanced diagnostics and data. - Root Cause Analysis (RCA):
Lead engineering and technician teams in troubleshooting chronic equipment failures to eliminate recurring issues. - Cross-Shift Team Coordination:
Provide direct leadership, technical mentorship, and alignment to evening and weekend technician crews to ensure maintenance standards do not drop outside of standard business hours. - Emergency Response & Escalation:
Serve as the primary technical point of contact or escalation path for critical equipment breakdowns during evenings and weekends, ensuring rapid deployment of resources to minimize emergency downtime. - Equipment Uptime Actions:
Develop, implement, and track targeted action plans utilizing Lean/Six Sigma tools to continuously improve machine reliability and cycle times. - Reject & Scrap Reduction:
Collaborate closely with Quality and Production teams to identify mechanical, electrical, or robotic factors contributing to product defects. Formulate and execute engineering action plans to eliminate process variation and reduce rejects. - Capital Projects (Cap Ex):
Assist in the evaluation, installation, and commissioning of new automated assembly lines and equipment upgrades.
Workforce Development & Technical Training
- Upskilling Strategy:
Assess the technical skill gaps of the maintenance team against rapidly evolving automation technologies (e.g., advanced robotics, vision systems, PLC logic, and smart sensors). - Training Delivery:
Establish ongoing, structured internal and external training programs to ensure technicians remain subject matter experts on modern manufacturing tech. - Mentorship:
Foster a high-performance culture focused on safety, precision, and proactive problem-solving.
Budgeting & Inventory Management
- MRO Management:
Manage the maintenance budget, optimizing spend on spare parts, external contractors, and shop consumables. - Critical Spares:
Maintain a robust critical‑spare‑parts inventory strategy to prevent prolonged downtime due to part stockouts.
Success Factors:
The success of this role will be measured by:
- Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR)
- Unplanned Downtime % vs. Plant Targets
- PM Compliance Rate (Completion vs. Schedule)
- Scrap/Reject Rate Reduction on automated lines
- Training Matrix Completion % for maintenance staff
