Stanely Electric U.S. is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to perform new model start-ups and continuously improve current models.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Providing engineering support to manufacturing and support groups. Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and identifying and implementing new assembly methods to improve product quality and cost.
- Assist higher-level Engineers with Engineering, Automation, Robotics, and Manufacturing Technology projects.
- Provide training and technical guidance to lower-level Engineers.
- Provide training to maintenance technicians on automated equipment, robotics systems, controls, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Monitor, analyze, and report equipment performance, robot utilization, and automation effectiveness while initiating continuous improvement activities.
- Develop new model assembly processes for medium-complexity products, incorporating automation and robotic solutions where practical. (Products with 10 to 15 components or 5 to 8 machines.)
- Develop equipment, robotic cell, fixture, vision system, and jig specifications for relatively low-complexity products. (Products with 10 to 15 components or 5 to 8 machines.)
- Assist higher-level Engineers with new model process development for more complex products involving robotics and automated manufacturing systems.
- Assist higher-level Engineers with developing equipment, tooling, controls, robotics, and automation specifications for more complex products.
- Create and maintain new model project schedules and ensure accurate project tracking.
- Create weekly schedules and update them with actual conditions at the end of each day.
- Ensure a smooth transition of new models from Engineering to Manufacturing and Maintenance while achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Design, build, integrate, and commission medium-complexity machines, robotic work cells, fixtures, and automation systems for new and existing models.
- Assist higher-level Engineers in designing, integrating, programming, and validating more complex automated manufacturing systems and robotic work cells.
- Review new model development drawings, identify automation opportunities, develop cost estimations, improve manufacturability, and address quality concerns to ensure competitive and high-quality products.
- Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, robot, motion control, and automation programs for existing and new equipment.
- Configure, integrate, and support machine vision, sensor technologies, data collection systems, and Industrial IoT (IIoT) applications to improve manufacturing performance.
- Provide Engineering support to Maintenance, Manufacturing, Sales, and Purchasing regarding automation, robotics, machine controls, and process optimization.
- Create or modify all required engineering documentation, automation standards, robotics procedures, and PE-1 documentation to ensure ISO compliance and maintain certification.
- Evaluate emerging automation technologies and recommend solutions that improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.
- Answer and implement suggestions in a timely manner.
- Update PE-1 goal planner at the end of each month.
- Review and implement Deviation Requests in a timely manner.
- Support manufacturing by leading root cause analysis, problem-solving activities, automation improvements, and machine efficiency initiatives.
- Generate schedules and implement corrective action plans for assigned projects.
- Ensure PE-1 maintenance and automation areas meet cleanliness, safety, and organization expectations.
- Support installation, startup, validation, and continuous improvement of robotic systems, automated assembly equipment, autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), collaborative robots (cobots), and flexible manufacturing cells.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop smart manufacturing solutions utilizing robotics, automation, digitalization, machine vision, and data analytics.
- Support preventive maintenance and lifecycle management activities for robotic, automation, and control systems.
- Address other issues and assume additional responsibilities as they pertain to improving Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Development, Automation, and Operational Excellence.
- Program, troubleshoot, and optimize industrial robots (FANUC, ABB, Yaskawa, Kawasaki, Universal Robots, etc.).
