Job SummaryThe Insurance Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting our roofing projects by working closely with clients, insurance adjusters, and our project management team. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in the insurance supplement process as well as with Xactimate, specifically within the construction or roofing industry, and possess a solid understanding of insurance policies and claims.
Key Responsibilities- Review and analyze insurance policies and claims to identify opportunities for supplements.
- Prepare detailed documentation, including estimates and scope of work, to submit for insurance supplements.
- Communicate effectively with clients and insurance adjusters to negotiate and advocate for necessary supplements.
- Maintain organized records of all supplement requests and follow up as needed to ensure timely processing.
- Collaborate with the project management team to align on project timelines and expectations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in insurance regulations that may impact supplement processes.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the supplement process to enhance client satisfaction.
- 2-3 years of experience as an Insurance Specialist, preferably in the roofing or construction industry.
- 2-3 years of experience with Xactimate software
- Strong understanding of roofing systems, materials, and related costs.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., insurance adjuster license) are a plus.
