- Researching, evaluating, and purchasing automotive components for new model trial events.
- Correlating and selecting suppliers to ensure stable quality, competitive cost, and on-time delivery.
- Maintaining excellent communications with suppliers regarding design changes of trial and mass production products.
- Issuing supplier documents – contracts, agreements, forecasts, RFQ, Maker Layout Letter, etc.
- Developing, gaining approval, and executing purchasing strategies for assigned commodities and suppliers.
- Achieving new model and mass production cost targets through effective supplier selection and negotiation.
- Maintaining effective supplier relationship management and keeping supplier documents up to date (e.g., in Q-Pulse).
- Communicating with suppliers for RFQ, event orders, pricing and terms.
- Collaborating with suppliers to develop products through the new model event process.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Business or related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of one year of experience in Purchasing, Sales, Quality Control, or Engineering.
- Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain management and cost analysis.
- Proven negotiation skills and ability to manage costs and supplier relationships.
- Ability to develop and present clear proposals; basic math skills.
- Desirable: ability to analyze drawings; familiarity with international standards and conducting international business; familiarity with financial statements.
