What You Will Be Doing

Investigate, analyze and resolve Production and/or New Model Development quality problems by conducting product audits, analyzing defect trends and leading cross‑functional continuous improvement activities in a timely manner.

  • Investigate internal quality issues on production quality, processes and equipment using basic quality information gathering techniques and statistical techniques.
  • Act as a communication liaison between internal and external groups regarding any and all quality issues, thus maintaining Stanley Electric’s production values while adhering to Stanley’s customer quality standards.
  • Establish, maintain, and track quality standards to ensure consistency, while maintaining quality production.
  • Prepare PQCT’s using FMEA and GPAC-V to assure that all potential failure modes are properly addressed in the documents.
  • Participate in process audits to address any specific issues such as production mold modifications and changes, deviation from quality standards, or for timely audits of the respective quality system.
  • Address customer and internal product concerns by documenting and communicating problem tracking activities as well as monthly performance reports to track the performance of the respective production area.
  • Analyze monthly performance reports and process data to identify areas of improvement and develop the necessary improvement plans.
  • Coordinate with the appropriate department to confirm packaging trials to ensure that packaging meets quality standards.
  • Train and mentor new engineers in hands‑on environment
  • Address other issues and/or assume other responsibilities as opportunities arise.

How You Will Qualify
  • 3-6 years experience as an Engineer III/4-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in the quality functions within automotive supplier industry preferably with Japanese automakers and experience in JIT manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Working knowledge of quality tools including FMEA, PQCT, capability studies and GD&T
  • Plastic Injection molding process and process improvement experience is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ISO 9000 and AIAG standards
Work Conditions
  • Ability to lift 40lbs
  • Manufacturing Environment (4) hour per day
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required to perform essential functions at remote locations or receive training.
  • Required to work overtime (unplanned and unscheduled) to meet customer deadlines and requirements.

  • Moderate noise levels with specific areas required to wear hearing protection.
