Nursery Assistant

We are currently, seeking a qualified, experienced, and passionate Nursery Assistant to join our amazing nursery on a fulltime, permanent basis. The nursery is situated in a spacious, vibrant building with a great range of facilities for the children and staff.

The nursery is in the borough of Merton and has a great commuting options with the closest station being Wimbledon, as well local buses.

The position details.

• Job title - Nursery Assistant
• Job type - Permanent
• Position - Fulltime
• Pay - 11.50- 13.
• Hours - 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm.
• Days - Between, Monday-Friday

Responsibilities:

• Assist in creating a safe and engaging environment for children.
• Supervise and interact with children during playtime and activities.
• Assist with feeding, diapering, and maintaining cleanliness in the nursery.
• Collaborate with other Nursery staff to plan and implement age-appropriate activities.
• Monitor children's behaviour and report any concerns to the Nursery Supervisor
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress.

To be considered for this role you must have the following.

• Have a childcare qualification level 2 or higher.
• Fluent in English (verbal and written communication)
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
• Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Have a clear enhanced D.B.S.
• The right to work in the UK.
