We are a growing, values-led provider of children's residential care, operating multiple therapeutic homes across London Boroughs. We support young people aged 11‑17 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), and complex needs, delivering high-quality, child‑centred care in a nurturing environment.
We are seeking an experienced Residential Children's Home Team Leader to join one of our London-based homes. This is an exciting opportunity to take a step into leadership, develop your skills, and support a motivated staff team while making a real difference to young people's lives.
The Role- Lead a small team of Residential Childcare Workers within a children's home
- Supervise and support staff, providing guidance, mentoring, and feedback
- Assist with day-to-day operations and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality care
- Promote safeguarding, stability, and emotional wellbeing for children and young people
- Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and incident reporting
- Work alongside the Deputy Manager and Registered Manager to ensure regulatory compliance
- Embed therapeutic, trauma‑informed, and child‑centred approaches
- Participate in staff meetings, multi‑agency meetings, and training sessions
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Experience working in a children's residential care setting
- Understanding of Ofsted Quality Standards and Children's Homes Regulations
- Leadership, team management, and communication skills
- Ability to motivate and support a team while maintaining high standards of care
- Experience supporting young people with EBD, SEMH, or complex needs
- Emotional resilience and a commitment to child-centred practice
- Experience in a therapeutic or trauma-informed residential setting
- Previous experience in a Team Leader or supervisory role
- Knowledge of positive behaviour support
- Full UK driving licence
