St Mary’s Under Fives are looking for Early Years Practitioners to join a friendly and small team at a pre-school setting within the grounds of a local primary school in Marlborough.
We were rated Good on our last Ofsted Inspection.
We are looking for qualified Early Years Practitioners to join our amazing team in Part time/Full time role.
You must be enthusiastic and passionate about working with children and have knowledge of the EYFS. We provide childcare for children aged 2 years to 5 years.
You will be a keyperson for a group of children including recording and tracking their learning and development.
Working with children to provide high quality care and education
Working closely with your team around you
You will help provide a stimulating and exciting environment that promotes learning and development for our children.
Liaising with parents, helping to support their whole family
Supporting and maintaining daily routines.
Qualifications:
Essential:
At least a Level 2 in early years and childcare
Maths and English GCSE grade C or above
Have a warm smiling face that makes every child feel special
Pretending to eat playdough creations and pretending to drink numerous cups of tea.
You must have the ability to read a ten-page fairy-tale, upside down, with at least 4 interruptions per page
You must be prepared to have lots of fun in the workplace.
Laughter is something you can expect to be a large part of your working day Desirable:
- Level 3 early years educator or equivalent (including NVQ 3 childcare, Level 3 diploma for children & young people’s workforce)
- First Aid
- Food Hygiene
- Basic Safeguarding We take safeguarding children very seriously and you will be expected to complete a DBS application before the job commences.
We would expect staff to work flexible hours depending on the needs of the pre-school and this can be agreed upon during the Interview process.
The working hours of pre-school are Monday to Friday 8:30am to 3:15pm.
Staff also get paid overtime for any staff meetings.
The position is term time only (38weeks of the year). The contract is a fixed year term, with the possibility of extending.
