This is a specialist role for confident, guest-facing professionals — not an entry-level position. Poolhouse is recruiting experienced Games Hosts to join our founding team ahead of our February 2026 opening. We’re looking for people who are already comfortable commanding a room, explaining experiences clearly, managing groups, and keeping energy high under pressure. If you’ve worked in interactive, experiential, or high-engagement hospitality before and love being at the centre of the action, this is your chance to help define a brand-new concept from day one.

This role is all about bringing people together and making games unforgettable. As a Games Host, you’ll be the personality that gets groups excited, explains the rules with clarity and charm, and keeps the energy high throughout. You’ll ensure that every guest feels comfortable, included, and entertained, while also confidently handling the practical side, from troubleshooting small tech issues to coordinating food and drinks for the group.

Your confidence, warmth, and likeability will set the tone for each event. Offensive to no one, charming to all — you’ll make sure every guest leaves with a smile and a story to tell.

• Greet guests warmly and guide them through the Poolhouse experience
• Take food and drink orders with accuracy, efficiency, and style
• Make recommendations confidently and upsell where appropriate
• Ensure prompt delivery of items and check back at the right moments
• Clear and reset tables with speed and attention to hygiene standards
• Operate POS and handheld ordering devices with ease
• Keep your section clean, tidy, and guest-ready at all times
• Communicate clearly with the kitchen, bar, and floor teams
• Be proactive in solving guest queries or issues with a calm, can-do attitude
• Support team members during busy periods or shift changes
• Help create a relaxed, upbeat environment through pace, positivity, and professionalism
