Overview
Flutes delivers bold culinary and drink experiences in prestigious venues, prioritising innovation, service and sustainability. We are seeking a freelance hospitality manager to oversee event delivery across multiple London sites.
Purpose of the RoleAs a freelance hospitality manager you will be responsible for the successful delivery of client events, including client liaison, team management and service excellence. Your performance will be monitored through manager audits, event time frames, guest satisfaction and employee retention.

- Many conference venues in London
- Oversee opening and closing procedures at all events.
- Deliver an effective and informative team brief during events.
- Ensure all food and beverage requirements are delivered as per client request.
- Work with the planning team pre‑event for a seamless client transition.
- Collate with operations teams and set‑up staff to ensure venues are set up to the highest standards prior to each event.
- Enforce health and safety requirements during events.
- Motivate and encourage colleagues to provide exceptional service in line with the company vision.
- Deliver all allocated events to venue standards.
- Prepare fully for each site visit.
- Maintain venue integrity and complete paperwork on time and high quality.
- Be an excellent Brand Ambassador for Flutes.
- Experienced and trained within the catering and events industry.
- Authoritative, persuasive, able to lead and make clear decisions.
- Confident and articulate, including MC responsibilities when required.
- Well planned with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong time and people management; team player.
- Clear logical management for a fast‑paced environment.
- Exceptional customer handling skills, responsive to client and colleague needs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to meet deadlines and drive teams accordingly.
- Flexible, adaptable, and a great coach where needed.
- Accountable for personal and departmental performance.
- Hours to be agreed per event.
- Hours include evenings and weekends.
- Willingness and flexibility to work additional hours when required.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a management role within hospitality.
- Proven front‑of‑house management experience.
- Strong attention to detail and consistent presentation.
- Must be 18 years or older and able to serve alcohol.
- Excellent pay £16.80 – £18.00 (varies by event).
