Job Description
Waldorf Astoria London – Admiralty Arch is seeking a Uniform Room Attendant to join the pre-opening team for the highly anticipated luxury hotel opening later this year.
As part of the founding team, you will help shape the guest experience and support laundry & uniform operations.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect uniforms for cleanliness, condition, and presentation, and perform minor repairs as needed.
- Provide operational support to the laundry function to ensure uninterrupted service.
- Carry out wash cycles, fold linen, and store items in accordance with hotel standards.
- Liaise with external laundry suppliers and dry cleaners regarding quality requirements.
- Manage the uniform deposit system in coordination with the Finance department.
- Control issuance and return of uniforms for new and existing staff.
- Conduct uniform stock takes to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Maintain agreed stock levels consistently.
- Correctly separate, store, and dispose of soiled or damaged linen in accordance with hygiene and safety protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the linen room and uniform store.
- Report maintenance concerns and potential hazards promptly.
- Comply with hotel security procedures, fire regulations, and all health and safety legislation.
- Positive, dependable, and professional attitude.
- Clear and effective communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Confidence working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Methodical approach with strong organizational skills.
- Previous experience within a laundry or linen operation (advantage).
- Experience in a uniform or wardrobe focused role (advantage).
- Basic sewing or garment repair skills (advantage).
