, we are looking for a Door Person to join our In Concierge team.
Kimpton Fitzroy Hotel is an iconic 19th-century building that blends historic charm with contemporary luxury. Located on the eastern side of Bloomsbury’s Russell Square, it sits just a 2‑minute walk from Russell Square tube station. The Piccadilly line runs 24 hours on Fridays and Saturdays, offering excellent connectivity.
As a Door Person, you’ll be 100% you, bringing your authentic personality to everything you do; be the ultimate host, confidently leading yourself and making creative decisions that elevate every interaction; and spark joy, using every tool available to craft meaningful and memorable experiences. The Door Person has a significant influence on the guest’s first impression of the hotel, so you need to be warm, friendly, and passionate about the hotel and local area.
ResponsibilitiesStand near the front door to welcome guests as they arrive or depart, and assist with carrying guest luggage when required. Provide exceptional service, counselling, and travel information in a decorative, welcoming and personable manner. Assist guests receiving services that require a concierge level of support, including proof of other requests. Maintain close awareness of the local community and provide knowledge about attractions, activities and events for guests.
QualificationsPrevious front office experience in a hotel environment, knowledge of Opera or a similar PMS, and excellent communication skills are required. You must be able to handle guests’ questions and concerns with speed and professional manner, and demonstrate a unique and outgoing personality. A passion for service and a strong understanding of the impact of the role on the overall guest experience are also essential.
