Position: Kitchen Porter - Clays

Responsibilities

  • General cleaning of the kitchen, including sweeping and mopping floors.
  • Removing kitchen waste and disposing of it properly.
  • Completing the weekly cleaning schedule.
  • Washing dishes such as cutlery, pots, cutting boards and pans by hand.
  • Loading and unloading the dishwasher.
  • Cleaning cooking equipment such as cookers and food mixers.
  • Supporting chefs with basic food preparation (washing, peeling and cutting ingredients).
  • Providing assistance to all kitchen staff as needed.
Qualifications
  • Excellent time‑management skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Level1 Food Safety Award (training provided).
  • Awareness of manual‑handling techniques (training provided).
  • Awareness of COSHH and chemical safety regulations (training provided).
  • Commitment to continual improvement of knowledge and abilities.
  • Passion for hospitality and creating outstanding experiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to build lasting relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Honesty and strong moral principles.
  • Proactive initiative, calm problem solving and resilience under pressure.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
