Senior LCMS Scientist

Biolyz offers saliva-based biomarker testing service. We provide daily saliva testing with a 24h turnaround time for over 125+ biomarkers. We leverage biomarkers to predict injuries and performance for professional athletes.

We are looking for a hands‑on Senior LCMS Scientist who can a) troubleshoot analytical instrumentation and software, get his/her hands dirty and helps daily operations and b) is happy to manage 2-3 labs techs to smoothly run daily operations. We wish for this person to be 100% practical and to not shy away from tedious and detailed oriented work.

• Managing and maintaining several LC-MS systems, ensuring smooth operation of routine laboratory
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues with analytical instrumentation
• Evaluation of targeted methods and data interpretation
• Adjusting and updating laboratory standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Clear and structured documentation in the Laboratory Information Management System
• Effective time management to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with different teams
• Working in shifts with variable working hours and weekend duties

• Master’s (with 2-3 years of work experience in private sector) or PhD in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Bioanalytics, or a related field
• Proven experience in working with LC-MS instrumentation using validated targeted workflows in a commercial setting
• Strong expertise in LC-MS techniques (including micro‑LC), including troubleshooting, method development and validation
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and outside organizations
• Detail‑oriented approach with a focus on quality, compliance, and efficiency
• Hands‑on experience with LIMS and laboratory inventory management
• Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
• Experience with Sciex MS and Shimadzu LCs is a big plus
