Data Compliance Officer

Responsibilities

Working as part of the Building Services Team, you will take responsibility for ensuring that Newlon meets its statutory landlord compliance obligations in all areas including gas safety, water safety, asbestos, electrical safety, fire safety and lift/LOLER requirements. You will deliver a high-quality and robust compliance and responsive service, ensuring works and servicing programmes are delivered effectively, on time and required standards are met.

Supporting the Building Compliance Manager, you will also lead on the effective use of Newlon's compliance monitoring system to assist management in responding to reporting requirements, ensuring that the required standards are met at all times and the necessary certification is in place.

Having previously worked in a similar role, you will have substantial compliance experience and will ideally be a member of a relevant body such as IOSH, RICS, CIOB, RIBA, CIBSE, or IFSM. You will need to hold a health and safety qualification such as NEBOSH or IOSH. You will also need demonstrable experience and knowledge of current housing-related legislation in relation to compliance work streams, as well as experience of managing Health and Safety with Construction regulations.

An excellent communicator with a focus on providing high-quality customer service, you will be able to build rapport with residents and maintain effective working relationships. You will also need the flexibility to be able to travel from site to site, as and when required.
