Nurture Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and well‑resourced secondary school in Clapham South to recruit a proactive and organised Science Technician.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Science Technician to support a busy Science department and play a key role in the delivery of engaging practical lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5.

As a Science Technician, you will support teachers and students by preparing materials, equipment, and resources for practical science lessons. The successful Science Technician will help ensure the smooth and safe running of laboratories and science classrooms.

• Prepare and set up equipment and materials for Science lessons
• Support practical experiments across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
• Maintain laboratories, prep rooms, and Science equipment
• Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times
• Manage stock levels and order resources where required
• Assist teaching staff with demonstrations and practical activities
• Dispose of chemicals and materials safely in line with regulations
• Support students during practical lessons where necessary

• Experience working as a Science Technician or in a laboratory/science environment
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Good understanding of laboratory Health & Safety procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Enthusiastic and proactive approach

Previous school‑based experience is desirable but not essential for this Science Technician role.
