An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Ecologist to join a growing, multidisciplinary consultancy delivering projects across critical infrastructure sectors. This forward-thinking organisation works on a diverse portfolio of transport, rail, utilities, energy and development projects, offering the chance for an Ecologist to collaborate with experienced environmental and engineering professionals while developing their career in a supportive environment. The successful Ecologist will be based in or near London and contribute to a range of technically challenging projects.

The Ecologist will undertake ecological surveys, prepare high-quality technical reports including PEAs, EcIAs and protected species assessments, advise project teams on ecological constraints, support Biodiversity Net Gain initiatives and work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable project outcomes. There will also be opportunities to contribute to project planning, client liaison and ongoing professional development. This Ecologist role is based in London.

Requirements:
  • Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science or a related discipline
  • Experience undertaking ecological surveys and producing technical reports
  • Knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and planning policy
  • Experience with protected species surveys and habitat assessments
  • GIS experience is beneficial
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Full right to work in the UK
  • Living in or near the London office
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
