FRA Engineer
Industry: Fire Protection
Salary: £40,000 - £42,000 per annum
Location:
South East London
We are seeking a skilled and motivated FRA Engineer to join our Reactive Maintenance Team. This is a full-time permanent role covering London and surrounding counties, with core working hours of Monday to Friday,
08:00-17:00
You will work across a variety of domestic and commercial properties primarily within social housing and local authority sectors, carrying out surveys, installations, commissioning and remedial works identified from Fire Risk Assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, modify, and commission Grade D domestic fire detection systems.
Install and commission emergency lighting systems.
Complete remedial works based on Fire Risk Assessment findings.
Complete commissioning certificates accurately and in accordance with standards.
Cover reactive works where necessary
Document all work clearly and promptly using the Oneserve mobile application.
What We're Looking For:
Strong knowledge of the electrical industry, including building regulations
Understanding of Health & Safety requirements
Ability to install and commission Grade D fire detection and emergency lighting systems
Experience working from mobile devices to complete electronic job sheets
Good practical and diagnostic skills
Strong organisation and planning abilities
Clear communication with customers and colleagues
Positive attitude, reliability, and strong timekeeping
A supportive, team-first mindset
Qualifications:
Level 3 Electrical Installation
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (C&G 2382-18)
City & Guilds 2391-52 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent - Desirable)
Full UK driving licence (held for at least 12 months)
