Static Client-Facing Maintenance Engineer

We are recruiting for a professional, client-facing Maintenance Engineer to join a prestigious commercial site in Mayfair. This is a fully static, Monday–Friday role suited to someone who takes pride in presentation, communication, and delivering high standards of day-to-day building maintenance.

This position is focused on basic electrical tasks, general fabric upkeep, and ensuring the building remains in excellent condition for tenants and visitors. You will be the visible on-site presence, working closely with Facilities and Building Management teams to maintain a first-class environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out basic electrical tasks including plug/socket changes, light bulb and lamp replacements

• Perform minor fault finding on lighting and power where required

• Complete general building fabric repairs including painting, touch-ups, and basic carpentry

• Support minor plumbing tasks such as tap washers and basic repairs

• Conduct routine site walk-arounds to identify and proactively resolve maintenance issues

• Ensure all works are completed safely and in line with site procedures

• Maintain accurate records and update maintenance logs

• Liaise directly with clients and tenants, providing excellent customer service

Requirements

• Previous experience in a facilities maintenance or building services role

• Basic electrical knowledge (qualified or part-qualified preferred but not essential)

• Competence in general fabric maintenance and minor repairs

• Professional, well-presented and confident in a client-facing environment

• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of the site

Package
• £45,000 basic salary

• Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week

• Optional overtime
