We’re seeking a Passive Fire Protection Engineer to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring safety and compliance across our projects.
In this role, you’ll conduct site surveys, identify and rectify fire-stopping deficiencies, and ensure all remedial work meets British Standards and third-party certification requirements. If you’re passionate about precision, safety, and delivering quality work, this is the opportunity for you!
In this role you will be conducting site surveys, identify and rectify fire-stopping deficiencies for our customers across South London. For—the Responsibilities- Carry out daily vehicle inspections via Big Change and report any defects.
- Survey future projects and generate full reports using online tools (Flow).
- Maintain clear communication with site contacts and office teams throughout each job.
- Follow company processes for job commencement, including method statements and DRAMs.
- Install and remediate passive fire protection systems, including fire damper replacement, ductwork modifications, and fire stopping.
- Identify and communicate scope variances promptly.
- Ensure all remedial works comply with current regulations and certification standards.
- Collaborate with the wider engineering team to deliver exceptional service.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times.
- Complete service reports and post-clean/testing reports before leaving site.
- Attend monthly engineering meetings and complete all compulsory training.
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in the Fire Protection Industry
- Strong knowledge of passive fire protection systems and British Standards
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High attention to detail and commitment to compliance
- Relevant industry qualifications (if applicable)
- Understanding of asset compliance and lifecycle management
- Experience using CAFM systems such as Big Change and Flow
