Mavis Pest Control provide pest control services to both residential and commercial customers throughout London and the South East. We take pride in providing our customers with excellent service and aftercare. We are seeking 2 new trainee Pest Control Technicians to join our team. No experience is necessary as full training will be provided to develop the necessary skills, however you must be practical and have some experience using basic power tools.
If you’re organised and punctual, a hands‑on type of person and prefer to get out and about instead of sitting at a desk then this may be the ideal job for you.
A positive approach to problem solving, and a polite attitude is vital for this role as you will be interacting with customers everyday and good customer service is at the core of our business.
We are looking for reliable individuals with a good attitude and good work ethics ,who want to be successful and grow with the business.
We will provide a company vehicle and uniform.
Full Training will be provided to get you started in the role. Initially you will be shadowing an experienced technician until you’ve reached a level of competence to go out to jobs on your own. At the earliest opportunity we will put you forward for the RSPH Level 2 exam for professional development qualifications.
This is a full time position working 40 hours per week 8am – 5pm. Overtime is available
Job role / duties:- Carrying out residential and commercial pest control visits
- Inspecting buildings, identifying pest types and treating according to BPCA guidelines (Baiting programs, trapping programs, monitoring programs, fumigation, bird proofing etc.)
- Apply pesticides in accordance with safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate service records, write reports and advise clients to prevent further infestation
- Regularly updating our CRM and the office
- Quoting for proofing work
- Driving (a lot of it)
- Keeping track of and maintaining stock & equipment
- Full UK driving licence
- Clean Criminal record
- Likes to be hands on and outdoors
- Practical and can use basic power tools
- Willing to provide excellent customer service
- Attention to detail and good at improvising
- Organised, reliable and punctal
- Honest & trustworthy
- Self motivated
Working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. Out of hours work is available if you want to earn extra money.
