Plumber

Location: Greater London

Meridian requires a permanent full-time plumber for a large static site in Battersea (high-end residential apartments)

£45,000 to £50,000 per annum salary
Monday to Friday – 8am to 5pm working hours
Overtime available @ x1.5
Discretionary annual bonuses and awards for exceptional performers
Development, cross-training and exposure to other roles

Duties will include:

- Assess plumbing issues on both domestic and commercial buildings and make initial decisions, escalating complex issues to the relevant manager as appropriate.
Carry out routine maintenance tasks as directed without direct supervision.
Assess emergency situations and carry out first line emergency repairs when safe to do so
Produce accurate job reports using the company’s mobile app
Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times
Support the team with multi-trade tasks as needed, including:
Carpentry repairs (doors and windows)
Basic locksmith tasks (adjusting locks and door closers
Small-scale decoration works, including flooring installation
One-off ad hoc maintenance tasks
Criteria

Proven experience of working in a plumbing role dealing with both domestic and commercial scale projects
Minimum qualification – NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing or related mechanical discipline
Good understanding of health and safety requirements within a building environment
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to deal with a range of people at all levels
