To provide and maintain high-quality plumbing and mechanical services across both domestic and commercial properties. The role involves working both independently and as part of a team to deliver efficient, safe, and reliable installations, repairs, and maintenance. A strong focus on quality workmanship, attention to detail, and customer satisfaction is essential to ensure the continued success and reputation of the company.
PrincipleQualifications
- Work individually or as part of a team to deliver high-quality domestic and commercial plumbing and mechanical installations, repairs, and maintenance across all property types.
- Diagnose and repair faults in domestic and commercial mechanical/plumbing systems and appliances, ensuring efficient and lasting solutions.
- Undertake minor cross-trade tasks where required to support a seamless service for clients.
- Carry out first and second fix plumbing works to a professional standard.
- Perform testing and commissioning of systems to verify correct and safe operation.
- Conduct ongoing risk assessments relevant to all work activities to maintain a safe working environment.
- Accurately record labour, materials, and job details using both electronic and paper-based systems.
- Participate in the company’s out-of-hours call-out rota when required.
- Present a professional image at all times — both on-site and in the office — and act as a role model for less experienced staff.
- Demonstrate flexibility by being willing to work outside normal hours when required to meet operational needs. (We do not expect excessive hours, but reasonable flexibility when it clearly benefits the company.)
- Take responsibility for your actions and decisions, understanding their impact on the company’s performance and reputation.
- Actively share responsibility with management and colleagues for the overall success of the company.
- Promote and uphold the principles of equality, fairness, and respect in all working relationships.
- Maintain awareness of employment law, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
- Provide appropriate coaching, guidance, and support to apprentices and junior team members.
- Address issues or challenges fairly, promptly, and professionally.
- Encourage colleagues to take ownership of their work and contribute to effective decision-making.
- Foster an open culture where team members feel confident to share ideas and constructively challenge decisions to drive improvement.
- Gas Safe Registration (Domestic & Commercial Categories).
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in both domestic and commercial environments.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Unvented Hot Water Systems (G3) certification.
- LPG and Catering Gas Qualifications.
- WRAS Water Regulations Certificate.
- Asbestos Awareness, Manual Handling, and Working at Height training.
- Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS).
- Professional, reliable, and self-motivated.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible and willing to participate in on-call or emergency cover when required.
