Mechanical Engineer (Waste Water)

Location: South East London (Thames Water sites)

Rate: £300 a day CIS

Contract Type: 3 - 6 months

An established and growing engineering services provider is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join its expanding team. The successful candidate will work on a wide range of pumps and associated equipment across domestic and commercial environments. This is a hands-on role suited to a proactive engineer who is confident working independently, liaising with customers, and delivering high-quality technical solutions.

• Service, maintain, and install domestic and commercial pumps
• Repair and overhaul pumps and associated pumping equipment
• Support pump station design, installation, and maintenance projects
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults effectively
• Respond to and liaise with customer queries within the workshop and on-site
• Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety standards
• Travel extensively within the region as required

• Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
• 17th or 18th Edition Electrical Qualification (essential)
• Strong mechanical and electrical competence
• General knowledge of pumps and pumping systems
• Experience in pump station design, installation, and maintenance
• Proactive, self-motivated approach to work
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to undertake additional training when required
