Multi-Skilled Technician - Mechanical

Description and requirements

One of our flagship contracts is with the Ministry of Defence at a major building in Whitehall, Westminster, where we deliver key hard FM services to the Government, and we currently seek a mechanically bias Multi Skilled Building Services Engineer.

• Temperature checks and monitoring
• Water Sampling – to include Cooling Towers and systems
• TMV Servicing
• Shower cleans
• Tank inspections and cleans, Chlorination work
• Successful completion of reactive tasks resulting from Water treatment management
• Providing same-day service reports as required.
• Ensuring records are maintained.
• Carry out remedial plumbing duties.
• Cooling tower maintenance
• Carry out PPM and extra work requirements in adherence to set engineering standards in accordance with HASAWA requirement.
• Cary out Fault Finding and plant adjustments.
• Check and inspect mechanical/electrical services, plant and systems.
• Execute maintenance tasks in accordance with contract specification.
• Respond to re-active works.
• Carry out general duties will require multi skilled discipline to carry out work such as test, inspection and repair of, motors, generators, chillers, AHU’s along with cleaning of foul water systems, drains, inspections and repair of all M&E systems such as extract and supply air ductwork systems, plumbing and heating systems

• Excellent working and theoretical knowledge of critical building systems within a Hard FM environment.
• Client Customer facing experience
• Minimum of Electrical/Mechanical City & Guilds, Part 1 and 2 or ’A’ and ’B or equivalent, BMS experience and Multi-skilling capability desirable.
• Cooling tower maintenance
• Flushing, tap temps / tmv checks and recording results accordingly
• Shower cleans
• Knowledge and experience of ACoP L8 through either Managing L8 qualification (RP) or L8 awareness Hot & Cold water / Cooling towers
• Ability to gain UK DV MoD Security Clearance - please note for this we need UK citizens who have resided in the UK for min of last 10 years

This role requires a minimum level of security clearance and may also require a higher level of National Security Vetting. You should be aware that certain levels of clearance or specific projects and/or sites have UK residency requirements; and any dual or multiple nationalities must be declared. Any persons who do not fulfil these residency requirements may be unable to obtain the required level of clearance and would not be eligible to undertake this role.
