Gas Quality Control Inspector

West London, Borough of Ealing and South London (Field Based)

The company is a well established Gas Contractor with an unrivaled reputation within the building services sector which includes Gas, M&E and HVAC maintenance, repair and installation work. They offer great rates of pay, opportunities to progress and additional training as required.

We are looking for an experienced Gas Quality Control Inspector or someone who believes they are ready for the next step as an experienced Gas Engineer in a Lead Engineer or similar position.

The Ideal Candidate will have a strong understanding of the gas industry and in depth knowledge of the Gas Industry Unsafe Situation Procedures, Gas Safety Installation and Use Regulations, relevant British Standards and relevant IGEM documents.

You will be responsible for the ongoing compliance of Engineers work from a work in progress (WIP) point of view as well as post completion inspections (PCS) of completed works.

You will need to be able to coach, advise, prompt and support Engineers to follow correct industry and company policies, procedures and standards and document correctly.

Good communication skills with a calm approach is a key requirement of this position to ensure your instructions and prompts are understood and accepted. These skills will also come into play when dealing with customers when required to investigate potential poor workmanship at a property.
