Skanska Building Services are a leader in facilities management, trusted by top-tier clients across critical sectors. We are currently looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to be based full time at MoD Main Building who will supervise and co-ordinate the planned preventative maintenance, testing, repairs and new installation work covering a wide range of equipment, services, systems and buildings associated with the running of a large building.
Asthe Maintenance Supervisor, you will:
- To support the Facilities Management in the provision of a maintenance Service within the estate.
- To comply with all statutory and regulatory requirements, including Health and Safety legislation and safe systems of work.
- To work safely on ELV/LV and generated electrical systems in accordance with all statutory electrical regulations and health and safety legislation and regulations as appointed Competent Person (LV) for SFS.
- To diagnose faults and coordinate repair within the PMS time periods a variety of complex equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations or best practice guidance.
- BTEC/HNC or City & Guilds Craft certificate or equivalent.
- A recognised apprenticeship.
- Certificate in 17th Edition IEE Regulation (Current).
- As defined by the latest edition of The Electrical Safety Code for Low Voltage Systems for Competent Person (LV).
- Minimum of 5 years relevant trade experience.
- Good knowledge of H&S Legislation and some knowledge of COSHH.
- Basic computer skills.
You must have resided in the UK for the past 5 years. This role requires a minimum level of security clearance and may also require a higher level of National Security Vetting. You should be aware that certain levels of clearance or specific projects and/or sites have UK residency requirements; and any dual or multiple nationalities must be declared. Any persons who do not fulfil these residency requirements may be unable to obtain the required level of clearance and would not be eligible to undertake this role.
