Fire Alarm Service Engineer - Data Centres
London & South East | £40,000 - £50,000 + Overtime + Door-to-Door Travel + Company Vehicle + Bonus
The RoleAs a Fire Alarm Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the planned preventative maintenance, fault finding and repair of fire alarm systems across a portfolio of mission‑critical data centres throughout London and the South East.
Working as part of a highly skilled engineering team, you will ensure systems remain fully operational, compliant and performing to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on fire alarm systems
- Diagnose and rectify faults efficiently
- Complete small remedial works where required
- Accurately complete service reports and documentation
- Liaise with clients and site management professionally
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with BS 5839 and company procedures
- Participate in the on‑call rota
We’re looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Service Engineer with a strong technical background and a proactive approach to customer service.
Essential- Experience servicing and fault‑finding fire alarm systems
- Strong knowledge of BS 5839
- Experience working on addressable fire alarm systems
- Excellent fault‑finding and diagnostic skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong communication and customer‑facing skills
- FIA qualifications
- Experience working within data centres or other mission‑critical environments
- Knowledge of gas suppression systems, aspirating smoke detection or integrated life safety systems
- ECS or CSCS card
- £40,000 - £50,000 basic salary (depending on experience)
