You’ll service, maintain, and install a variety of commercial catering equipment across commercial kitchens and bakeries, ensuring our clients' operations remain smooth, efficient, and compliant.
Qualifications & Experience- Proven experience as a Commercial Catering Engineer
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills on commercial catering equipment
- Extensive experience servicing and repairing equipment from leading manufacturers, including Unox, Rational, Merrychef, Lincat, Hatco, Maidaid, Instanta, Menumaster, Fri Fri, and Classeq
- Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, BTEC, or equivalent) desirable; proven industry experience will also be considered
- Full UK driving licence
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance, warranty work, and reactive repairs
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, plumbing, and mechanical faults
- Install and commission new equipment
- Maintain van stock efficiently
- Keep accurate service records using PDA/tablet systems
- Attend training sessions and team meetings
- Support colleagues and contribute positively to the wider team
- Strong technical skills in electrical and plumbing systems
- Proven fault-finding ability using wiring diagrams and technical documentation
- Experience working on a broad range of commercial catering equipment
- Competence using electronic devices, digital platforms, and software to record jobs, order parts, and communicate with the team
- Willingness to travel across London and surrounding areas
- Flexibility for occasional out-of-hours work
- Ability to pass an enhanced DBS check
- Excellent customer service skills
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Monday to Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm, plus overtime opportunities
- On-call rota: £160 standby allowance (1 week in
5) - Overtime rates:
Monday-Saturday: 1.5x
Sundays & Bank Holidays: 2x
