As a key member of our team, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clients’ facilities and equipment.
Job SummaryWe’re looking for a talented and versatile Mobile Multi‑Skilled Engineer to perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on a wide range of plant, equipment, and building services. If you have a strong background in manufacturing maintenance, electrical and mechanical competences, and a passion for problem‑solving, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities- Identify and manage risks associated with equipment on site, including updating drawings, identifying critical spares, and improving equipment performance
- Conduct fault‑finding on all types of machinery, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
- Provide electrical and mechanical expertise to the maintenance department, working on heavy industrial machines and overhead cranes
- Write and follow risk assessments and method statements, ensuring a safe and accurate working environment
- Use mobile devices to accurately project and complete works from the CAFM maintenance system
- Liaise with on‑site site services to manage building services‑related issues
- Deputise for the shift leader during annual leave or sickness
- Work overtime as required, including nights and weekends
- Recognised or time‑served apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering
- Strong proven experience in manufacturing maintenance experience
- Electrical competences to a minimum of City and Guilds 236 Pt 1‑2 Electrical qualifications to 18th Edition
- Mechanical competences to an acceptable standard to City and Guild’s Mechanical
- Good multi‑skilled ability, with experience working on 3‑phase motors, drives, and inverters
- Hydraulic and pneumatic experience
- Ability to fault‑find and diagnose PLC systems
- NVQ qualifications to Level 2, Electrical and Mechanical
- Ability to supervise contractors and write risk and method statements
- Working at height qualification
- IPAF certification
- Experience of heavy engineering
