Salary: £40,000 (DOE)

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (No weekends). Permanent, full-time.

Position Summary: We are currently recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Mechanic to join a well-established independent commercial vehicle business. Not a dealership role; independent operation with over 26 years trading history, strong reputation and large site. This is an excellent opportunity for a stable Monday to Friday role with no weekend working.

• 26 years established in the motor trade
• 3-acre site with showroom and workshop facilities
• Approximately 400 commercial vans on site
• Workshop team of 5 technicians
• Focused on maintaining current success and steady growth in stock and operations

• £40,000 basic salary (depending on experience)
• Monday to Friday working pattern
• 9:00am – 5:00pm hours
• No weekend working

You will be responsible for working on a wide range of light commercial vans, including:

• Routine servicing and maintenance
• Clutch and gearbox replacement
• Timing belt replacement
• Diagnostic fault finding and repair
• General mechanical repair work across a busy van fleet

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Mechanic / Technician (experience is essential)
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills
• Experience working on commercial vehicles advantageous
• Ability to work independently within a small team
• Full UK Driving Licence required
• Reliable, hands‑on and detail‑focused approach
