Position OverviewWe are seeking an elite, commercially driven Qualified Supervisor (QS) & Operational Lead to join our team in Cornwall. You will be the driving force behind our technical delivery, taking ownership of project velocity, compliance, and on‑site team performance across our high‑margin domestic and commercial portfolios.
This is not just a desk job; it is a dynamic leadership role. You will oversee a broad spectrum of complex infrastructure projects from Commercial/Domestic Rewires, Circuit additions and alterations, EV Charging systems, and more. You will enforce our unyielding standards for quality and safety, ensuring that both in‑house technicians and sub‑contractors execute flawlessly and efficiently.
Responsibilities- Ultimate Technical Authority: Act as the designated Qualified Supervisor (QS), taking absolute ownership of the regulatory compliance, inspection, testing, and certification of all company electrical installations in strict accordance with BS 7671 and national codes.
- Drive Project Velocity: Direct, motivate, and hold accountable both in‑house technicians and sub‑contractors. Enforce strict project timelines and ensure high‑quality output is delivered efficiently to maximize labour profitability.
- Manage Commercial Variations (Scope Creep): Act as the primary on‑site commercial liaison. When clients request changes or additional work, expertly manage these variations by communicating options, capturing the commercial value, and thoroughly reporting actionable updates back to the office.
- Quality Control & Advanced Diagnostics: Perform and oversee complex inspections, testing, and fault finding across a wide range of premium systems (Solar PV, Battery Storage, EV, Smart Homes). Ensure a "zero‑defect" standard before final client handover.
- Operational Data Management: Maintain rigorous, real‑time records via our in‑house job management software. Meticulously log time‑on‑task, variations, certifications, and asset data to feed our centralized operational system and support future scaling.
- Enforce Safety & Brand Standards: Champion strict on‑site health and safety protocols. Ensure that all personnel, tools, equipment, and fleet vehicles are maintained and operated in a manner that reflects our premium brand positioning.

Deliver authoritative, white‑glove customer service. Resolve on‑site technical issues decisively and ensure high‑net‑worth and commercial clients have absolute confidence in our infrastructure solutions. - Industry Expertise & Upskilling: Continuously monitor industry trends, emerging green technologies, and regulatory shifts. Use this knowledge to upskill the team on‑site and maintain our competitive edge as infrastructure experts.
- Proven Experience: Minimum of 5 years post‑qualification experience delivering and overseeing electrical installation, maintenance, and repair across premium residential and commercial environments.

Qualifications:- NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services and an in‑date CSCS / ECS Gold Card.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671:2018+A2:2022).
- Advanced Inspection and Testing qualification (City & Guilds 2391‑52).
- Leadership & Drive: A resilient, proactive mindset with the ability to confidently drive team performance, hold technicians accountable to timelines, and prioritise project completion.
- Commercial Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills, specifically the ability to manage high‑level clients, confidently negotiate site variations (scope creep), and report actionable data back to the office.
- Digital Fluency: Good‑level computer literacy. Comfortable utilizing modern job management software (CRM) for real‑time reporting, compliance sign‑offs, and time‑tracking.
- Safety Enforcement: Comprehensive, working knowledge of Health and Safety regulations (RAMS, site protocols) to ensure a zero‑harm environment.
