Water Hygiene Engineer - £38,000 to £40,000 + Overtime

South London (Southwark & Lambeth), East London (Tower Hamlets), Kent (Tonbridge) - within the M25

We’re looking for a skilled Water Hygiene Engineer to join our growing team. If you’ve got experience in Legionella control and a keen eye for compliance, this is your chance to step into a role where your work truly makes a difference to safety and standards.

Responsibilities

Carrying out routine monitoring: temperature checks, water sampling, inspections & TMV servicing
Cleaning & disinfecting cold water storage tanks and hot water systems
Supporting with remedial plumbing (pipework mods, minor installs, removing dead legs)
Keeping accurate service reports and records
Ensuring compliance with ACOP L8, HSG 274 & health & safety standards
Delivering a professional, customer-focused service at all times

Qualifications

Previous experience in water hygiene / Legionella control
Knowledge of ACOP L8 & HSG 274
Full UK driving licence
Strong communication and organisational skills
(Bonus) Plumbing qualifications (NVQ / City & Guilds), Legionella Awareness training, or experience in commercial/healthcare settings
