Overview

Carpenter Multi Trader – South East London (Wandsworth, Croydon, Merton, Bromley, Lambeth & Southwark). Social Housing Reactive Maintenance. Permanent role. Salary £50,000 + van & fuel card.

We are working with a leading Repairs and Maintenance Contractor within the Social Housing sector to recruit a Carpenter to join their team in the South East London area. You will play a crucial role in the maintenance and improvement of properties, ensuring all work is completed to a high quality and in compliance with health & safety and relevant regulations.

The role focuses on routine property maintenance, completing multiple jobs per day, and delivering a best-in-class standard of customer service to residents and their homes. You will predominantly execute carpentry work, with additional duties in basic plumbing, patch plastering and tiling.

• Carry out routine property maintenance in social housing contexts
• Complete multiple jobs per day while maintaining high quality and safety standards
• Provide best-in-class customer service to residents
• Perform carpentry tasks as the primary duty with additional basic plumbing, patch plastering and tiling where required

• Proven experience as a Carpenter Multi in social housing or similar environment
• City & Guilds / NVQ in Carpentry Level 3 (desirable)
• Knowledge of NHF Sors desirable
• Full UK clean driving license, minimum of 3 points
• Relevant trade qualifications in plumbing, CSCS card and Asbestos Awareness cert. (Desirable)
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance
• Experience using a PDA and good IT skills with experience using job scheduling software
• Willingness to undertake a DBS check with no unspent criminal convictions
