We are looking for an experienced Electrical Manager to join our team on an exciting hotel refurbishment project. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong electrical background and proven management experience to lead the delivery of all electrical installation works from pre-construction through to project completion, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance.
Electrical Manager- Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all electrical activities on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
- Manage and coordinate electrical supervisors, operatives, and subcontractors.
- Plan, programme, and monitor electrical works in line with the overall project schedule.
- Ensure compliance with current electrical regulations, health & safety legislation, and company procedures.
- Liaise with the Project Manager, client representatives, consultants, and other trades to ensure effective project coordination.
- Oversee quality control, inspections, testing, commissioning, snagging, and final handover.
- Manage procurement of materials and plant, ensuring resources are available when required.
- Review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation, resolving any design or installation issues.
- Attend client and site meetings, providing regular progress reports and identifying project risks.
- Promote a positive safety culture and ensure all site personnel adhere to company and statutory requirements.
- Requirements
- Proven experience managing electrical installations on commercial, hospitality, or large-scale refurbishment projects.
- Relevant electrical qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- Gold ECS Card.
- SMSTS or SSSTS qualification (SMSTS preferred).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
- Strong understanding of current health & safety legislation and electrical standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and project programmes.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
