Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Fitter on board cruise ships
- All valid STCW certificates
- Good command of English

Description and Main Purpose of Job:
| The Plumber is a specialized day-work rating responsible for the maintenance, repair, and continuous operation of all sanitary, drainage, and plumbing systems across passenger and crew accommodation areas. Operating under the Hotel Engineer, the Plumber ensures guest comfort and high public health standards by executing routine inspections, providing rapid emergency response through a dedicated on-call rotation, and performing any additional general technical duties as reasonably required by the Hotel or Staff Engineer.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Routine Inspections & Checklists: Conduct thorough daily morning inspection rounds of assigned sanitary systems, as well as a comprehensive weekly Sunday round, ensuring all findings are logged and required mandatory checklists are fully completed and reported to the Hotel Engineer.
On-Call & Emergency Response: Participate in a 1-on/1-off (24-hour) on-call rotation. Must remain constantly reachable via shipboard communication devices to provide immediate intervention for passenger and crew plumbing emergencies (e.g., blocked toilets, leaks, vacuum system faults).
System Maintenance & Repair: Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on all accommodation plumbing systems, including vacuum toilet units, grey and black water piping networks, scuppers, and piping associated with hotel, galley, and laundry equipment.
Professionalism, Housekeeping & Inventory: Maintain high standards of courtesy and cleanliness during cabin interventions to minimize guest disruption. Keep workshops highly organized and promptly report consumable replenishment needs to the Hotel Engineer or Storekeeper.
Safety & Public Health Compliance: Strictly follow safety protocols, especially when dealing with black/grey water (hygiene and biological hazards), and ensure all repairs comply with relevant public health standards (such as USPH/Shipsan) and work/rest hour regulations.

- Use correctly all work items provided by the Company, including personal protective equipment, in accordance with training and instructions
- Not interfere with or misuse anything provided for health, safety, or welfare
- Abide by environmental protection rules and regulations and actively participate in the reduction, reuse, and recycling schemes in place All employees shall participate actively in all HSEQ activities and promote safe practices as part of an integrated management approach.
