Triple Star Fire and Security Limited is seeking a skilled and experienced Security Systems Engineer to join our expanding team. This is a versatile role, ideal for a multi‑disciplined engineer with the ability to carry out servicing, installation, commissioning, fault‑finding, and small works across intruder alarms, CCTV systems, and access control solutions.
Role Overview
As a Security Systems Engineer, you will work across a variety of commercial and industrial client sites, delivering high-quality engineering works from routine servicing and reactive maintenance to new installations and minor project works. You will have strong technical knowledge, excellent problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Service and maintain intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems.
- Install and commission new security systems in line with company and industry standards.
- Carry out small works, upgrades, system additions, and remedial installations.
- Diagnose faults and take corrective action efficiently.
- Conduct system testing and produce accurate digital reports.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant standards (including BS/EN requirements).
- Provide professional on‑site communication and support to clients.
- Manage van stock, tools, and equipment effectively.
- Participate in the on‑call rota where required.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a multi-disciplined Security Systems Engineer (essential).
- Strong working knowledge of intruder alarms (e.g., Risco, Texecom, Honeywell), CCTV (IP/analogue, NVR/DVR systems), and access control (e.g., Paxton, Comelit, Urmet, ACT, Videx).
- Ability to work confidently across service, installation, commissioning, and small works.
- Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills.
- Good understanding of SSAIB Codes of Practice standards and relevant regulations.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- PC literate – familiar with apps, reporting tools, and IP configuration.
- Full UK manual driving licence (essential).
- Additional electrical or fire/security qualifications (advantageous).
