HGV Technician

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy Fleet Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician looking for an immediate start within a professional workshop environment.

The Role:

As part of the Fleet Services team, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and inspecting a diverse fleet of vehicles, including:
Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) Light Commercial Vehicles Municipal Vehicles Electric and Hybrid Vehicles

Key Responsibilities:

Service, maintain and repair HGVs and other fleet vehicles Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections and safety checks Carry out welding, fabrication and body repair work as required Respond to vehicle breakdowns and repair accident-damaged vehicles Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation Ensure high standards of workshop housekeeping and health & safety compliance Essential Requirements:
Level 3 City & Guilds in Heavy Motor Vehicle Engineering (or equivalent qualification) Full UK Driving Licence with Category C entitlement (Essential) DVSA Inspection and Testing Qualification Previous experience maintaining and repairing HGVs and commercial vehicles Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills What's on Offer? £35.50 per hour umbrella Monday to Friday working pattern – no regular weekend work Immediate start available Opportunity to work on a varied fleet including electric and hybrid vehicles Ongoing contract opportunity If you have the required qualifications and experience and are available to start immediately, we'd love to hear from you.
