Qualified Multiskilled Joiner – Bury Council
Location:
Bradley Fold Road, Bolton, BL2 6RS
Pay Rate: £15.56 - £17.47 per hour PAYE (Dependent on Experience)

Full Time | 2 - 3 Month Temporary Contract Driving Licence, Own Vehicle & Own Tools Required Bury Council are looking for a Qualified Multiskilled Joiner to join their Repairs and Maintenance team on a full-time temporary basis for an initial 2 - 3 month temporary contract . This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tradesperson to work across a variety of repair, maintenance, and refurbishment projects, delivering high-quality services to council-managed properties and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.
Day to day of the role:
Carry out a wide range of joinery repairs and maintenance works across council properties. Undertake first and second fix joinery tasks, including:
Doors and door frames Skirting boards and architraves Flooring repairs Lock and window repairs General carpentry maintenance Complete kitchen repairs and installations, including units, worktops, and associated fixtures. Carry out planned maintenance, responsive repairs, void property works, and refurbishment projects. Perform multi-skilled repair tasks in line with qualifications and experience. Diagnose repair issues and recommend appropriate solutions. Deliver excellent customer service when working in occupied properties.
Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Adhere to all Health & Safety policies, procedures, and risk assessments. Accurately complete job documentation and work records as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
NVQ Level 3 in Joinery Full UK Driving Licence Access to your own vehicle Own professional tools Previous experience in repairs, maintenance, social housing, local authority, or property services environments Strong knowledge of joinery and general building maintenance Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills Benefits:
