Rate: £20.00 per hour PAYE – CIJC
Red Sky Personnel is recruiting an experienced Groundworker / Roller Driver for a long-term heavy civil engineering project at Heathrow Airport Terminal 2.
This is predominantly a Groundworker position, working across a range of heavy civils activities. The successful candidate will also be required to operate a 6T roller when needed, which is currently expected to be for approximately 3 weeks of the project.
The project involves significant civils works including deep excavations of approximately 6 metres, sheet piling, cofferdam excavation, concrete and drainage works.
Duties will include:
Carrying out general groundworks and civils activities
Drainage and excavation works
Trench preparation, bedding and back filling
Working around deep excavations
Supporting concrete and associated civils works
Operating a 6T roller when required
Working safely around plant and heavy machinery
Working within a live Heathrow airside environment
Following RAMS, permits and site safety procedures
Requirements:
Valid CPCS Roller ticket
Safety Critical
Strong Groundworker experience
Previous experience operating a ride-on roller
Heavy civils / deep excavation experience
Good understanding of site safety and working around heavy plant
Ability to carry out general groundworks when not operating the roller
Airside Security Requirements:
Due to this position being based airside at Heathrow Airport, successful candidates must be able to meet the required airside security and pass requirements.
Candidates must be able to:
Provide a continuous and fully checkable 5-year employment/education history
Provide satisfactory references covering the required period
Complete the required criminal record / DBS checks
Provide all required identification and Right to Work documentation
Complete Heathrow airside security clearance
Complete the required Heathrow/site induction before starting
