Service Fire & Security Engineer
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Flash Security as a skilled Service Fire & Security Engineer. You will install, service, and maintain fire-alarm, intruder-alarm, CCTV, and access-control systems across London and surrounding areas.
Relevant experience may include Fire Alarm Engineer, Security Installation Engineer, CCTVEngineer, Access Control Engineer, Multi-Skilled Security Engineer, Security Engineer, Fire Alarm Service Engineer, Fire & Security Installation Engineer or Fire & Security Service Engineer.
SALARY: £40,000–£45,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a company vehicle and benefits
LOCATION:
Field-based, Greater London. Ideally based in or near Wandsworth, covering
London and surrounding areas within approximately 40 miles

Service Fire & Security Engineer Job overview
We are recruiting a field-based Service Fire & Security Engineer, ideally based in or near Wandsworth, tocover Greater London and surrounding areas.
You will deliver high-quality installation, servicing, and maintenance of fire-alarm, intruder-alarm, CCTV, and access-control systems across commercial and residential sites. You willcarry out work in accordance with company procedures, manufacturers’ instructions, site requirements, and applicable industry standards and codes of practice.
The successful Fire & Security Engineer will be confident working independently, managing jobsfrom start to finish, completing documentation accurately, and providing a professional, safe,and tidy service on site.

Service Fire & Security Engineer Duties
Your duties as a Service Fire & Security Engineer will include:
* System installation:
Install, test and commission fire-alarm systems, including
Advanced, Kentec and C-TEC control panels, Apollo detection devices and associatedequipment, together with intruder-alarm, CCTV and access-control systems.
* Service and maintenance:
Carry out routine servicing, fault finding, repairs, remedialworks and planned preventative maintenance.
* Intruder alarms:
Work confidently with Texecom and Galaxy systems.
* CCTV:
Install and maintain Hikvision, Avigilon and Dahua IP CCTV systems.
Access control:
Install, configure and support Paxton and ACT access-control systems.
* Documentation:
Accurately complete job sheets, test records, service reports, commissioning documents and handover paperwork.
* Networking support:
Configure basic networking, including adding devices, assigning IP addresses, testing connectivity and connecting equipment to client networks.
* Customer service:
Maintain a professional, safe and tidy approach when working on client sites.
Candidate Requirements
* At least five years’ practical experience in fire-alarm installation, servicing and maintenance.
* Experience with Advanced fire-alarm panels and Apollo detection devices.
* Proven experience working with Texecom and Galaxy intruder-alarm systems.
* Experience with IP CCTV systems, including Hikvision, Avigilon and Dahua.
* Experience with access-control systems such as Paxton and ACT.
* Knowledge of relevant fire and security industry standards and codes of practice.
* Basic networking knowledge, including device configuration and IP addressing.
* Ability to work independently and manage jobs through to completion.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to complete documentation accurately.
* Full UK driving licence.
