Maintenance Technician (Electrical)Temporary to Permanent Position
London
£29.45 per hour (Umbrella/CIS) | £43,000 - £45,000 Permanent Salary
Full-Time | Temp to Permanent Opportunity
An established and highly prestigious Higher Education organisation is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join its Estates and Maintenance team on a temp-to-perm basis
. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrical professional looking for long-term career stability within a complex and varied building services environment.
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical plant, equipment and systems.
- Diagnose faults and undertake repairs to minimise downtime and service disruption.
- Complete maintenance activities in line with statutory regulations and industry best practice.
- Update maintenance records and job reports using CAFM systems.
- Support project works, equipment replacements and infrastructure upgrades.
- Assist with the preparation of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Maintain high standards of health, safety and compliance.
- Provide excellent customer service to building users and stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, contractors and technical teams.
- 18th Edition City & Guilds or NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in an Electrical discipline.
- Proven experience maintaining and repairing electrical building services systems.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Good knowledge of health and safety legislation and safe systems of work.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a busy maintenance team.
Candidates should have experience with a range of electrical systems, including:
- LV power distribution and switch gear.
- Single and three-phase electrical systems.
- Electrical testing and inspection.
- Lighting and emergency lighting systems.
- Fire alarm systems.
- CCTV and access control systems.
- UPS and standby power systems.
- Motors, inverters and control systems.
- BMS/BEMS systems.
- General building services plant and equipment.
