Maintenance Operative

Location: North Acton

Our client is seeking a proactive and hands-on Maintenance Operative to join a growing student accommodation provider at a modern, fully occupied scheme in West London. Working as part of a close-knit on-site team, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe, compliant, and welcoming environment for residents. This is a varied position where no two days are the same, offering a mix of planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, inspections, and contractor coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive repairs across the site Complete basic plumbing, electrical, painting, and decorating tasks Conduct routine inspections and statutory compliance checks Respond to maintenance requests and ensure issues are resolved efficiently Monitor and support contractors working on site Maintain accurate maintenance records and testing logs Ensure all communal areas are safe, clean, and well-presented Your Requirements:

Experience with in maintenance, facilities, hospitality, residential, PBSA, BTR, or a similar environment Knowledge of PPMs, reactive maintenance, and general building repairs Basic plumbing, electrical, and decorating skills Understanding of health & safety and compliance procedures Ability to work independently and manage your own workload Strong communication and customer service skills Positive, proactive, and hands-on approach What's On
