Permanent The Opportunity We are working with a specialist Control & Instrumentation business based in Bury St Edmunds, providing instrumentation, calibration, commissioning and process engineering solutions to customers across a range of process industries. They are looking for a C&I Technician to join their team. This is a hands-on role involving the installation, commissioning, servicing, calibration and fault finding of a range of electronic and mechanical process control instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities Install, commission and service process instrumentation. Calibrate a range of electronic and mechanical instrumentation. Carry out fault finding and diagnostics on instrumentation and control systems. Test and repair instrumentation where required. Work from technical drawings, schematics and instrumentation documentation. Carry out onsite commissioning and calibration activities. Complete testing and validation of instrumentation. Support FAT and SAT activities where required.

Work safely and professionally across customer sites. Complete service, calibration and technical documentation. Essential Skills & Experience Previous experience within Instrumentation, Controls or C&I . Practical experience with process instrumentation . Experience installing, commissioning, servicing or calibrating instrumentation. Ability to fault find and diagnose instrumentation issues. Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics. Good mechanical and electrical understanding.

Comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider engineering team. Willingness to travel to customer sites when required.
