Light Vehicle Technician Up to £45k Benefits | Burton upon Trent | Full-Time | Permanent Keeping commercial vehicles moving. Delivering quality. Driving reliability. We're looking for an experienced Light Vehicle Technician to join a busy and professional workshop team in Burton upon Trent. Working on a range of vans and commercial vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes , you'll carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs to the highest standards, helping to keep customers safely on the road.
What you'll be doing:
Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on commercial vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults Completing repairs to engines, transmissions, braking, steering and suspension systems Using manufacturer and aftermarket diagnostic equipment to identify faults Carrying out vehicle inspections and preparing vehicles for MOT Completing job cards and workshop documentation accurately Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop environment Ensuring all work is completed in line with manufacturer and health & safety standards Supporting colleagues to ensure workshop efficiency and excellent customer service What we need:
Previous experience as a Commercial Vehicle Technician, LCV Technician or Vehicle Technician Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills Experience working on vans and commercial vehicles Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively Full UK driving licence Desirable skills: NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Experience working on vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes Diagnostic and fault-finding experience using modern diagnostic equipment MOT Tester qualification (Class 4 and/or
7) Hybrid and EV awareness or training Familiarity with dealer management or workshop systems What's in it for you:
