Pest Control, Field/Service Technician
Pest Control Technician Salary:
Up to £32,000 per annum | North/East London We are looking for an experienced and motivated Pest Control Technician to join our team. This is a varied role combining traditional pest control services with in-depth inspections, technical reporting and preventative pest management. You'll work closely with customers, carrying out site visits, identifying pest issues and providing effective solutions, while also supporting field-based colleagues with technical advice.
You'll manage your own workload and will be expected to demonstrate excellent time management, organisation and the ability to work independently.
As a Pest Control Technician, you'll be responsible for:
- Carrying out planned maintenance, reactive and one-off pest control visits.
- Inspecting residential, commercial and industrial premises to identify pest activity and contributing factors.
- Assessing infestations and determining the most appropriate treatment.
- Carrying out treatments using chemical and non-chemical methods, including traps, exclusion techniques and technology.
- Providing customers with clear advice on pest prevention and corrective actions.
- Completing detailed inspection and service reports using Dynamics 365 and a digital handheld device.
- Ensuring all documentation is accurate and maintained for auditing and compliance purposes.
- Carrying out follow-up visits and inspections where required.
- Providing technical support and guidance to field-based technicians and customers.
- Maintaining pest control equipment and ensuring chemicals and materials are stored and handled safely.
- Working in line with all relevant health and safety legislation, industry standards and company procedures.
We're looking for an experienced Pest Control Technician who takes pride in delivering excellent customer service and high technical standards.
- Proven experience within the pest control industry.
- An industry-recognised qualification such as RSPH Level 2 in Pest Management, or equivalent.
- Membership of either BPCA Registered or BASIS PROMPT CPD schemes since 1 January 2025.
- Previous customer-facing experience.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- The ability to manage your own workload and work on your own initiative.
- A strong understanding of health, safety and compliance procedures.
- A full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Successful applicants will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
- Salary up to £32,000 per annum
