Role Description The Electrician role at CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) is a full-time, on-site position based in London. The Electrician will perform routine and reactive electrical maintenance, including inspection, testing, and repair of building electrical systems and equipment. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing faults, carrying out troubleshooting, completing minor installations and modifications, and ensuring work is completed safely and in compliance with relevant regulations.

The role involves responding to service requests, supporting planned preventive maintenance programs, and collaborating with facilities and engineering teams to maintain optimal building performance. The Electrician will also maintain accurate documentation of work carried out and contribute to continuous improvement of site operations.

Qualifications

  • Strong practical skills and knowledge in electricity, electrical work, and electrical engineering appropriate to a building services environment.
  • Experience with maintenance and repair of electrical systems, including routine servicing and component replacement.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical faults and diagnosing issues in complex systems and equipment.
  • Understanding of electrical safety standards, regulations, and best practices, with a commitment to safe working methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manufacturer documentation.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, clients, and contractors.
  • Experience in commercial or corporate facilities environments is beneficial; prior work within a global or large-scale organization is an advantage.
  • Willingness to work on-site in London and support occasional out-of-hours or emergency call-out requirements as needed.
