Role OverviewA Production Scheduler is required to support a rail infrastructure maintenance programme, ensuring effective planning and coordination of engineering and maintenance activities within a live operational environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain production schedules for maintenance and engineering activities
- Coordinate workflows across multiple departments and suppliers
- Track progress, manage delays, and update schedules accordingly
- Release and manage work orders via SAP or similar systems
- Ensure accurate reporting and record keeping
- Support resource and access planning in a safety-critical environment
- Identify issues and support continuous improvement
- Experience in production planning/scheduling within rail, transport, infrastructure, or engineering
- Strong SAP (or similar system) experience
- Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Experience working in regulated or safety-critical environments
- Rail or infrastructure maintenance background
- Knowledge of maintenance planning or possession/access coordination
- Process improvement experience
