At Balfour Beatty, we're delivering some of the UK's most ambitious infrastructure schemes. As part of the HS2 programme, Old Oak Common Station will become one of the country's largest and most important transport hubs.

We are looking for an Approved Electrician to join our team and support the delivery of the Temporary Site Services (TSS) package on this landmark project.

As an Approved Electrician, you'll play a key role in ensuring temporary electrical installations are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. You'll work closely with site teams, subcontractors and stakeholders to support project delivery while maintaining our commitment to Zero Harm.

Key responsibilities include:

• Installing, inspecting and maintaining temporary electrical systems on site
• Supporting the safe and efficient delivery of temporary site services
• Identifying hazards and implementing appropriate controls
• Ensuring plant, tools and equipment are safe and fit for use
• Contributing to toolbox talks, task briefings and safety initiatives
• Monitoring workmanship and supporting a Right First Time culture
• Assisting with quality assurance activities and project documentation
• Coordinating with operational and engineering teams to meet programme requirements
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with project standards
• Promoting sustainable and environmentally responsible working practices

Essential:

• Fully qualified Electrician
• Current ECS Card
• Full UK driving licence
• Experience working with temporary electrical installations
• Good understanding of current Health & Safety legislation
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
• Flexible approach to working hours, including nights and weekends when required
• Experience supervising or coordinating direct labour and subcontractors
• Ability to deliver engaging toolbox talks and promote safe systems of work

Desirable:

• Experience working on major construction or infrastructure projects
• Experience delivering high-quality electrical installations in complex environments
• Strong problem-solving and risk assessment skills
• Experience managing works packages from start to completion
• Desire to progress towards becoming an Appointed Person (AP)
