Commercial Electrical Engineer East London Salary: £45,000 per annum

East London / London Job Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Role NRT Group is recruiting an experienced Commercial Electrical Engineer to join our growing team, working across a range of commercial properties throughout London. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrician with strong commercial electrical experience who is looking for stability, long-term career progression and a secure position with a growing organisation.

The role will involve a combination of planned and reactive electrical maintenance, inspection and testing, repairs, installations, fault finding and remedial works across commercial premises.

Key Responsibilities Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across commercial properties. Complete electrical repairs, installations, upgrades and remedial works. Carry out electrical inspection and testing. Complete EICRs and associated remedial works. Diagnose and rectify electrical faults efficiently. Maintain lighting systems, power supplies, distribution boards and associated electrical equipment. Ensure all electrical work complies with BS 7671 and relevant health and safety standards.

Respond to reactive electrical maintenance requirements. Work professionally across a range of commercial environments. Liaise with clients, facilities managers, site managers and other contractors. Maintain accurate job records, reports and documentation. Work safely in accordance with company procedures and site requirements. Manage your workload effectively and complete works within agreed timescales.

Required Qualifications & Experience Level 2 or Level 3 Electrical qualification essential. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations essential. City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing or equivalent essential. Proven experience working within commercial electrical environments. Experience in electrical maintenance, repairs and installations. Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills. Good understanding of electrical safety regulations and compliance. Ability to work independently and as part of a wider commercial maintenance team.

Full UK driving licence. Professional, reliable and customer-focused. Good communication skills. Desirable Qualifications & Experience AM2 qualification. ECS/JIB Gold Card. Previous experience within facilities management or commercial building maintenance.
